South African schools deploy school resource officers trained by NASRO

The City of Cape Town, South Africa and the Western Cape Education Department launched an expanded school resource officer program Oct. 1 with officers trained by the U.S. National Association of School Resource Officers. Local news website IOL News published a story about the program’s launch.

Also, a local blog published a notice from the city that quotes an Alderman saying, “Most of all, though, I want to thank the US Department of State and the National Association of School Resource Officers (NASRO).”

A Cape Town TV station published this story about the new program.
