The City of Cape Town, South Africa and the Western Cape Education Department launched an expanded school resource officer program Oct. 1 with officers trained by the U.S. National Association of School Resource Officers. Local news website IOL News published a story about the program’s launch.
Also, a local blog published a notice from the city that quotes an Alderman saying, “Most of all, though, I want to thank the US Department of State and the National Association of School Resource Officers (NASRO).”
