One year after Parkland, NASRO trains school resource officers the same — WVTM TV

“I don’t know that anything has really changed about the role that an SRO plays from our perspective,” NASRO executive director Mo Canady told WVTM TV when asked how things might have changed since the Feb. 14, 2018 mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. “We’re still training them the same way we were training them on February 13 of 2018. But certainly, there has been more training and there has been more interest in SROs and there have been more SROs added throughout communities.”
