National school resource officer training standard needed — Canady to Dayton Daily News

There needs to be a national standard for school resource officer training “to some degree,” NASRO executive director Mo Canady told the “Dayton Daily News.” Canady also told the newspaper that being a school resource officer “is probably the most unique assignment in law enforcement and it’s not for just anybody.” In addition, Canady told the “Daily News”  about Department of Justice data showing that juvenile arrests on the whole dropped almost 50 percent in the 1990s and 2000s.
